The format is a 1.5 hour live webinar + Q&A.
With WSET Level 3 candidates, two wines are tasted.
With WSET Level 4 diploma candidates, three wines are tasted.
Wine selections are announced in advance of the course date and are based on availability and program relevancy.
Language and calibration in the Tasting ANP Course follow the WSET certifications in wine (Systematic Approach to Tasting).

Content in the Tasting ANP Course is applicable to most wine certifying bodies that have a blind tasting component of the exam. Although Language and calibration in the Tasting ANP Course follows the WSET certifications in wine (Systematic Approach to Tasting), the focus of the course is centred on a neurodevelopmental perspective to tasting.

Participants enrolled in WSET 3 may get more out of the course once they have had at least a few weeks to practice tasting using the SAT at this level. Having a base level of tasting with the SAT allows the participant to focus on the brain-based functions of tasting rather than the SAT itself.

The Tasting ANP Course can lead to better accuracy in tasting when taken at any point in the diploma program but is most beneficial during the D3 wines of the world unit. (Content in the Tasting ANP Course for WSET diploma candidates is specified for the D3 unit.)

Yes. The WineStudySkills course provides a broad understanding of a neurodevelopmental approach to studying. This is the foundation for the content in the Tasting ANP Course.

While the WineStudySkills course is dense with information and strategies, it is delivered in a way for the participant to easily absorb the main ideas.
During the Tasting ANP Course, we revisit the brain-based strategies from the WineStudySkills course and use them as a foundation for tasting from a neurodevelopmental perspective.
