Sessions are designed to provide studying support for students throughout their weeks of study.
Studying Support sessions draw upon strategies from the Wine Study Skills course and are designed to support students in multiple ways.

For individuals or study groups who have completed the Wine Study Skills Course.
To register as a group:
ensure your group (9 max) is studying the same content for the session
groups designate one co-ordinator to complete registration
the fee ($290) is paid by the co-ordinator (then divvied up amongst group members)
after registering, the co-ordinator receives a link to distribute to group members for accessing the session
What a typical Studying Support session looks like:
Format is a 1 hour, 45 min live virtual session + Q&A
A typical session begins with a brief check-in with participant/s
Guided review of the previous session’s study material (if applicable) + Q&A
Introduction to upcoming new study material
Guided exercises using study strategies from the WineStudySkills course to learn the new upcoming material more deeply, absorb more details, understand the broader context and store it more robustly in memory
Q&A for specific content or other studying related concerns

Yes. As long as your group is focusing on studying the same material, up to 9 people can sign up per session.
The way this usually works is that the group decides on a date/time for the study support session. Then registration is completed by the group co-ordinator. The fee is then shared amongst group members (after registration).

Yes. Individuals and group members need to ta e the WineStudySkills course prior to the Study Support Session. Strategies from the WineStudySkills course are put into action during the Study Support sessions.

The WineStudySkills course is delivered in a way so that participants can easily absorb the main ideas. Students also leave with a document that details each study strategy plus a handy condensed version for quick referencing.
During the Study Support sessions, we revisit the brain-based strategies taught in the WineStudySkills course and explore them further by using them together. As you use these strategies more frequently, you will discover how effective your studying can be when you understand how learning works from a brain perspective.

Groups/individuals can sign up for one session to gauge what their needs might be for studying support. Groups/individuals can sign up again for single or multiple sessions afterwards.
*Some wine students benefit from taking just one session to get them on track while others seek out weekly, biweekly or monthly sessions for extra motivation to stay on schedule with their studying.
Wine students studying remotely may also use the sessions as a way to check in with their learning trajectory and ask questions about the content they are studying.

Group sizes can fluctuate for many reasons.
If the group size is 9 or fewer, we do not need to make any adjustments.
Please send a message if you would like to arrange a Studying Support Session for a bigger group or for any other considerations that might be needed.
